Analytical Algebra 1Analytical Algebra 1 is a course designed to actively engage students in guided and open-ended mathematical investigations directly related to real world problem solving. We will begin with the study of properties and operations of the real number system, applications of proportional reasoning, solving and graphing first degree equations, inequalities and systems of linear equations. Students generate equivalent expressions, use formulas to solve problems, simplify and factor polynomials and solve simple quadratic equations. You may also be expected to reinforce classroom learning by watching the lesson videos available. Calculators will be utilized to explore concepts and as a tool for understanding.
