Geometry
Geometry is a course designed to actively engage students in guided and open-ended mathematical investigations. We will begin by learning some of the basic terms and definitions of geometry and becoming familiar with the tools we will use throughout this course. Transformational geometry is explored and logical reasoning skills are developed. During the semester, algebra skills are integrated ensuring that these skills are maintained. You are also expected to learn by reading – to enter class with prior knowledge about the topic while expanding your technical reading skills.
Calculators will be utilized to explore concepts and as a tool for understanding – especially when the calculations become so complicated that the basic idea might be lost. Remind.com will be used to send important updates and information for Geometry. You can join by following the instructions provided on the attached document or by clicking on the link provided here.
